Bookshare.org dramatically increases access to books for the community of visually impaired and otherwise print disabled individuals. This online community enables book scans to be shared, thereby leveraging the collections of thousands of individuals who regularly scan books, eliminating significant duplication of effort. Bookshare.org takes advantage of a special exemption in the U.S. copyright law that permits the reproduction of publications into specialized formats for the disabled.
Cepstral
Cepstral provides speech technologies and services for the spoken delivery of information. They build high quality, natural sounding voices for hand-held, desktop, and server applications. Their technology is easy to incorporate and operates in a small memory footprint with low computing resources.
In contrast with previous technologies, which are either very large systems or offer lower quality due to outdated technology, Cepstral Text-To-Speech (TTS) engines and voices can be deployed on mobile devices or in multiple instances on server platforms, making it the easiest to use and most versatile product available today.
Design Science
Design Science develops software used by educators, scientists and publishing professionals, including MathType, Equation Editor in Microsoft Office, WebEQ, MathFlow, MathPlayer and TeXaide, to communicate on the web and in print. Design Science is committed to addressing the need for accessible mathematics, and is actively creating the technology infrastructure that will make math accessible for people with disabilities.

RFB&D
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) serves more than 141,000 students from kindergarten through graduate school and beyond with its one-of-a-kind collection of more than 109,000 educational titles on CD or four-track cassette. RFB&D's AudioPlus® digitally recorded textbooks on CD provide unprecedented navigation, ease of use and proven effectiveness as learning tools for students with print disabilities. Students rely on RFB&D's unique accommodation to access the printed page and to achieve educational success. All of RFB&D's accessible titles are recorded by volunteers working in 29 RFB&D recording studios nationwide.
