How the Conversion Process Works
Step 1: Input
gh accepts a variety of media formats, including, but not limited to, PDF, HTML, Word, TXT, as well as print documents to begin the translation.
Step 2: Translation
gh provides the service of translating documents from the provided input to Braille by using our XML-based Media Conversion Process (MCP).
Step 3: Proofreading
gh employs experienced certified Library of Congress Braille transcribers to deliver Braille in accordance with the Braille Authority of North America (BANA) standard.
Step 4: Embossing
gh operates printing machines known as embossers to produce the hard copy Braille. The Braille paper is embossed either single sided or interpoint, depending on the need.
Step 5: Bound Book
gh delivers the Braille in the form of a bound 11" × 11.5" book with customized covers.
